11wks old

The triplets had a check-up at the doctor's office yesterday. Daddy wasn't able to attend so their Great Aunt KaKa lent a helping hand to mommy. Overall everyone is still doing great. Zachary is dealing with reflux but the with trial and error the doctors are doing their best to find a formula or prescription that works best for him. Alexander is no longer the "little guy" he is right up there with his brother. Miss Grace is really starting to find her lungs.

Weights
Grace - 12lbs
Zachary - 11lbs  3oz
Alexander - 11lbs

All 3 of them are sleeping in stints of about 6hr straight at night. Grace has slept as much as 8hrs straight. Its a matter of time until the body clocks get set.

Following the doctor's office the babies had their first trip to the park. Not that they were able to cross the monkey bars but they were able to see their cousin Lily in 5th gear for over an hour and of course cousin Josie's non stop smiling face (seriously, always smiling). Next park trip we hope cousin Alexandrea will be able to join in on the fun!

1st Halloween

Sharon and Johnel celebrated the babies' 1st Halloween over the weekend. Saturday they took a Mecias Family trip over to a pumpkin patch. This was quite an outing for the group. I have no doubt that their cousin, Alexandrea is extremely anxious for them to grow big so she has some playmates.

Sunday they traveled over to Sharon's parents house to take part in a little trick-or-treating. But I must say there was not much venturing away from the house this year. Next year will be a different story. We hoped to get a photograph of the cousins together but it was a little chaotic. Someone was always eating, sleeping, or in Lily's case- running!

This past Tuesday the triplets had their 9wk doctor check-up. Over all everyone is doing great.

Weights
Grace - 10.9
Alexander - 9.15
Zachary - 9.13

Growing Everyday

This Thursday will mark 8wks old for the triplets. Things seem to be cruising along at the Mecias household. All 3 babies are getting bigger by the day. At the last doctor check-up, the babies were 8+ lbs. I don't doubt that they broke the 9lb mark by now. Alexander still has a full head of beautiful black hair and looks just like Daddy. Zachary loves to snuggle any time of the day and I believe he resembles his Abuelita (Johnel's Mom). Miss Grace seems to be the "easy keeper" and just may have mommy's blue eyes. All 3 little ones are definitely more alert and stay awake longer in between feedings.

Most family/friends have received their birth announcement already via mail. So I finally was given permission to post some of the prints. A friend of Sharon's does photography and came to her house to snap some shots of the "trips". If anyone is in need of some memories to be captured on film - Katherine Shamoun is FABULOUS!

30 Fingers and 30 Toes...

Their story begins....

On September 2, 2010 the lives of Johnel and Sharon changed forever. Grace, Alexander, and Zachary joined the family making them officially a party of 5! After several requests from friends/family and with their permission; I (Auntie Sara) am creating a blog so everyone can watch them grow, even from a far. Save this link so you don't miss out!

Last night I insisted the new parents go have a night out. It had been 3 weeks since the babies arrival and Johnel was going back to work the following day. Not too mention this is the easiest stage of their lives for me to offer to babysit ;) Literally - diaper change, bottle, back to sleep.
